Second day in the medical clinic was a good day. We saw 130 patients today. We soon become very aware of how blessed we are with our health care system. We are only here for 10 days,so any follow-up gets lost when we leave. Medicare is expensive and not readily available.
The place we are working at has a school attached. Approximately 400 children attend. Each of those children is sponsored for $35 per month. If children here are not sponsored most of them don’t attend school.
All the meals are supplied and very tasty, they use lots if seasoning. We are eating a lot of in season fruit. The cooks take all the fruit that is over ripe and make it in to juice which is awesome.
It rained today which made it hot and muggy. We are blessed to have air conditioned bedrooms and cool showers which are a refreshing welcome at the end of the day.
The best part of today was we found out we have a new grandson. He was born last night, but we didn’t learn he had arrived safely until lunch time today. He is 6lbs 15oz. and his name is Agustin Paul, a little brother for Grace. So now we anxiously wait for 9 days until we return home to meet him.
The maintenance support team have been busy. This team consists of Martin Tracy, Mike Bell and myself. So far we have been attending to small repairs at the clinic. This doesn’t seem like much but this allows the medical team to focus on looking after patients. It has been rewarding just to be able to do those things. There other projects needing help which we will be part of later in the week once all the clinic needs are met.
That’s all for day two, we would like to thank all of you who are supporting us in prayer.

God`s blessing as you serve Him and minister in this needy land.
